This page provides comprehensive information about how we use cookies on our website to enhance your browsing experience, improve website performance, and deliver personalised content. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit our site. They help us understand how visitors interact with our website, allowing us to offer a smoother and more efficient user experience. In the table below, you will find detailed information about each type of cookie we use, their purpose, and how long they remain on your device. We are committed to respecting your privacy and providing transparency about the data we collect through cookies. For more information on how we handle your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
Because we are user privacy focused, we have chosen to use privacy focused website analytics software, Matomo, which is hosted on-premise (i.e. on our website servers). So yes, we are tracking how our website is being used like most other online businesses. However, Matomo is cookieless and protects user privacy. We won’t ever share any data we collect, and you can rest assured that your information is safe with us.
That said, if you prefer to opt out of tracking, please uncheck the box below.

Cookieless website analytics which we’ve disclosed in the previous section provides us with anonymised data and statistics about our website activity. This doesn’t provide us with the necessary information we need to deliver personalised experiences, offers and services for known contacts (i.e.subscribers and members). Therefore, in order for us to tailor your subscriber and/or member experience, we have installed the Site Tracking feature from our email marketing service ActiveCampaign. Please take a moment to learn how and why we have chosen to use activity tracking.
Why do we track our subscribers and members?
Tracking removes distraction and noise, and helps you stay focused on what is most important to you. In other words, it gives you the personalised experience that supports your investment in your membership.
As well as tailoring our messaging to you, we also use tracking to manage your membership status (active, cancelled, expired, approved, payment failed, etc.) which helps us to welcome you onboard and provide you with “get started” instructions (via email), let you know about events, send newsletters, help you progress through any training you are enrolled in, etc. This is all pretty normal stuff when you are part of an online community.
Note: we do not track you with AI driven algorithms that manipulate you into how or what to think, or target advertising to you to sell you stuff you don’t need. That’s just icky! We also will never sell or give away your details or tracking information to anyone, not even our trusted third party suppliers. We are also continually looking for an affordable alternative to ActiveCampaign that can be hosted on-premise (i.e. on our own servers), but to date we have not found anything that can do this. As soon as we do, we will make the switch!
From our perspective, the tracking we use helps us to see who is engaged as a member, and who isn’t. This is really important when we are keeping our member numbers limited. If tracking shows us that a member is inactive, our team will reach out to them and gently find out why this is.
If it’s something we can improve on, then we appreciate the feedback. Or if there is something going on in their real world lives that’s preventing them from being online, we can discuss putting their membership on hold, downgrading it or giving them the opportunity to cancel it.
Obviously, there’s no point paying the monthly fee for a service they aren’t using. And it may seem weird, but it’s quite common for people to continue paying for a subscription they’ve stopped using, either because they don’t keep close track on their finances, or they don’t know how to cancel it.
We’ve also known people to keep paying because they feel a sense of loyalty to the organisation, or don’t want to lose the monthly price that was locked in when they joined, so consider the subscription a donation.
Our mission is to build a friendly and supportive online community of 150 active members. So when we do find someone inactive and it’s clear that they don’t plan to become active, we’d rather invite someone in from our waiting list to take their place.
How invasive is tracking for our subscribers and members?
We understand how important privacy is for our subscribers and members. This is why we have invested heavily in security, to ensure that your personal information is protected. That said, we also believe it is important for our members, in particular, to know that everyone is a real person, who genuinely wants to be part of a friendly, supportive and positive community where they can learn and grow.
As at February 2026 we are still building out the member area. There is a lot of R&D investment, so we have limited funds until the doors are open and we get members in and can build up our cash flow to cover operating costs. This means we don’t have a surplus to purchase premium licenses which have either a monthly or annual subscription. So we are using free ones.
Therefore, our subscriber / member tracking is very limited to the basics which you are used to if you already send and receive email, search engines, social media, subscribe to marketing lists, and other aspects of digital technology (such as normal email tracking including open/read email, clicked on link in email). It will also track when you log into your KESWiN Academy account (if you have one), click on links in the member area, fill out a form, etc. The only area where comments are enabled in inside the Academy, and this is covered by the comments section below.
We will do our best to update this page and from time-to-time send you a transparent list of what activities we are tracking, whenever we make changes, such as upgrading from free applications to paid licenses. Keep in mind that often an upgrade means we have access to advanced features of that application which can limit tracking rather than increase it. So growing our membership numbers and using tracking to encourage members to stay active is essentially a good thing.
However, if you do have any concerns, please contact us to discuss them. We want you to feel secure here, and as mentioned, we value your privacy and autonomy.
