Is the mobile toggle menu not working on your website? Are you using the Astra Theme with Breeze WordPress Cache Plugin?
I’ve spent a few frustrating days trying to troubleshoot this issue after discovering my mobile toggle menu is not working. It’s dead in the water. Totally unresponsive. Not just on one of my websites, but at least three of them.
Worse still, I found that there was nothing online to assist me with this particular issue. Surely it just can’t be me having this issue though?
Anyway, after much searching and testing, and thinking I had resolved the issue, I would come back the next day and discover I hadn’t. More frustration. There were suggestions on various sites to add snippets of code, or to go through and debug the website to find the culprit file. Not entirely helpful as despite my being quite techie, I’m not much of a coder and didn’t want to put in the time to learn how to bring the code up on my mobile devices anyway.
How to Fix Mobile Toggle Menu Not Working
Fortunately, some of the websites I manage didn’t have any issues with their mobile toggle menu not working. So after getting close to giving up, I compared their Breeze plugin settings to the sites that had the issue.
After a lot of trial and error, I discovered the difference: the sites where the mobile toggle menu wasn’t working had the “Delay JS Inline Scripts” toggle on. So I turned it off, and voila! The mobile toggle menu is now working like magic.
So if you have been having a similar problem, check your settings on the File Optimization section of the Breeze Plugin, and make sure you have the “Delay JS Inline Scripts” toggled off as shown below.
